Finding myself resenting the sunlight

I suddenly realize I prefer to experience life through barriers

 

Filtered through gloomy clouds

Removed behind dirty glasses while contacts lie idle in the bathroom

Sheltered by a full buffer of blubber

 

and wonder why that is
